Would You Want A Watchmen Sequel?

I don’t know. There is a fine line to be walked when it comes to comic book movies and the sequels. While I loved the first Watchmen movie, there were a lot of mixed reviews from fans of the DC comic, movie critics, and regular movie goers. Some people really liked the film, while there are those that utterly detested the film.

There are have been rumors of a sequel for some time, and it seemed like it was a Watchmen sequel was actually in the works, but now that seems to have lost steam very quickly. The underlying sentiment is that this is a good thing. A Watchmen sequel is not needed or even wanted.

Not to be one who is against the grain (yeah, right!) I have to ask a question. Why not?

I mean, really. When a movie like Enchanted 2 can have a sequel (which was thoroughly nauseating), why isn’t there more of a desire for a Watchmen sequel. Myself, I’d love to see a sequel.

Try, Try Again!

We all know that the first movie could have been a little better. Well, alright… a lot better. But, that doesn’t mean that we should shut down the entire franchise and leave it at that. You just never know. A sequel might just be pretty darn good. It must might blow your mind. It just might be the next Avatar.

There is a lot of “Phew! No Watchmen sequel!” posts around. Why not some support for a second movie.

We Don’t Need Spinoffs

Spinoffs and sequels are much different. I am all for a sequel to be made, if for no other reason than to try to make a better movie. But, I really don’t care to see any spinoffs from the original.

Anyway, what do you think? Would you be willing to see an improved Watchmen sequel?
