The word on the street is that there could possibly be a Jason Bourne prequel. However, all of you Bourne fans might not want to start yelling in the streets just right yet. It seems like there is a little bit of controversy over it.

According to rumours, Paul Greengrass has left the Bourne franchise and will not be associated with a prequel or another installment. This means that our favorite Bourne, Matt Damon, will be looking for something else to do. He has stated that he will not do another Bourne movie without Greengrass manning the helm.

What will this mean to the franchise? Will people buy into a prequel for Jason Bourne. For myself, I would love to see a prequel, but without Damon it just wouldn’t feel like Jason Bourne. It would be like watching another Indiana Jones film without Harrison Ford. Or, watching a Rocky movie without Stallone. We all know how confusing the Bond films are.

If there is some sort of Jason Bourne prequel it would be great to see Damon back in the seat. Although pulling off a younger Bourne might be a stretch.
