Some great new DVD’s have been released for the week of March 9th, 2009. Check them out and pick out a movie to watch this weekend.

Transporter 3 – Great action packed movie starring Jason Statham as your favorite transporter. You can check out all my thoughts on the review of Transporter 3. If you do buy a DVD this week… this is it.

Milk – Ok, I haven’t seen this one, but it is on my list. There have been so many amazing movies coming out that this one, well… didn’t make it to my “must see” list. Here’s the basic plot; The story of Harvey Milk, and his struggles as an American gay activist who fought for gay rights and became California’s first openly gay elected official.

Rachel Getting Married – This is the story of when Kym (played by Anne Hathaway), returns to the Buchman family home for the wedding of her sister Rachel (Rosemarie DeWitt), she brings a long history of personal crises, family conflict and tragedy along with her. The wedding couple’s abundant party of friends and relations have gathered for a joyful weekend of feasting, music and love, but Kym – with her biting one-liners and flair for bombshell drama – is a catalyst for long-simmering tensions in the family dynamic. Role Models – What happens when you put together two energy drink reps into a Big Brother program to mentor other kids? Especially when those two reps are Seann William Scott and Paul Rudd? Yeah… that’s what I thought too. I am going to be checking this one out as soon as I get it in my hands. (Look for review coming soon.)

Primal Fear [Blu-ray] – This classic court room thriller with the amazing twist at the end is being re-issued in Blu-Ray this week. If you are going to be building your Blu-Ray collection instead of DVD’s then this is one you will want to own. Richard Gere and Edward Norton are at their very best in this great film that has the ability to draw you in and then shock you at the very end.
